The guardian of the Mushroom Forest: Rootbeard. All life within the Mushroom Forest is under his sole protection. He's also seen as a god to the Shroom species native to the forest. Vesterians have always lived in the Mushroom Forest, but they remain to be the only species that Rootbeard has quarrels with.

Rootbeard is what's known as a Stomping Sycamore. They've only ever been found in the Mushroom Forest, which is believed to be a source of their immortality. When slain in the Mushroom Forest, they release a single sapling containing all of their memories. Once planted, they'll regrow back to their former glory as if nothing happened.

Rootbeard is the only Stomping Sycamore that interacts with Vesterians. We're unsure if all Stomping Sycamores share the same sentiment as Rootbeard, but as far as we know, they avoid Rootbeard as well. Perhaps their species wishes to live in peace and seclusion, and dissociated themselves from Rootbeard due to his pent up rage.
