The Aqrabuamelu's image became known during Tal-Rey's reign. Many assumed the Aqrabuamelu were a mythological beast that Tal-Rey had discovered. They quickly became the symbol of the Rey Dynasty, being seen as the spiritual guardians for the kingdom. What many didn't know was that they truly existed.

Even if they were known to exist, nobody could've possibly guessed how they came to be. They're the result of one of Sul-Rey's many machinations. It was found that the Aqrabuamelu are not one singular creature, but are two different species grafted together... they're human-deathsting hybrids.

Their armor was designed to make them visually appealing to look at. Without the armor, it's impossible to identify that the upper half of these abominations were ever human. Sul-Rey's magic prevents them from dying of age, which has allowed Tal-Rey to make use of them as the tomb guardians.
