The Nightmare is the culmination of all of the Giant Ratboy's greatest fears. Delis, supermarkets, waiting rooms, clowns, and the worst of all... the Circus. His nightmare is so vivid that it's no longer a figment of his imagination. The Nightmare is as real as the Frontier itself, with the only gateway being Ratboy's head.

What devastating conseqeunces await if the Giant Ratboy were to wake up? Would the Nightmare cease to exist? Would the Nightmare pour out into the Frontier? The Otherworld seems to find all sorts of ways to bleed into the Frontier, and poor Giant Ratboy here seems to have become a victim to this phenomena.

Using Ratboy's fears to manifest, the dark magic of the Frontier combined with the Otherworld brought Circus to life. Ratboy is a prisoner in his own mind with the Circus as its warden. Those who dare try to spare Ratboy some relief shall suffer the same torment he has undergone since falling into his slumber.
